W.Va. Senate President: GOP Has To Keep Appeal to Remain in Power
WHEELING - West Virginia Senate President William Cole said the new GOP majority must continue giving everyone a seat at the policymaking table if it is to retain control of the Legislature in a state where only 29 percent of registered voters are Republicans.
"We have to have broad appeal. We have to make sure we're representing all of West Virginia," Cole, R-Mercer, said Thursday as the West Virginia Business and Industry Council kicked off its "Policy and Progress" tour at Oglebay Park in Wheeling.
